The China International Big Data Industry Expo (Big Data Expo) is the world's first big data expo. Since its first edition in 2015, the expo has been guided by the philosophy of "global vision, national level, industry perspectives and corporate standpoints", focused on the overall theme of "Data Creates More Value, Innovation Brings a Better Future", accelerated the aggregation of data resources, promoted deep integration across industries, improved the capacity for technological innovation, and comprehensively promoted the high-quality development of the digital economy. With a legacy of successful editions, the expo has developed into a prestigious international gathering of industry elite, a professional platform setting the pace for cutting-edge trends, as well as a business cooperation platform pooling global resources.

Previous editions of the Big Data Expo have been valued by senior Party and state leaders and have drawn widespread interest from domestic and international stakeholders. Each successive event has broken new ground in terms of delegate composition, exhibition scale, achievement releases, and contracted value. Hosted by the National Data Administration and organized by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government, Big Data Expo 2025 opened August 28–30 in Guiyang under the theme "Data Drives Industrial Momentum, Intelligence Unlocks the Future." The expo showcased 375 participating enterprises and over 1,300 new technologies, products, solutions, and applications in the data sector. Complementing the main event were 89 programs, including the opening ceremony, achievement releases, industry exchange activities, a series of special activities, and business negotiations.
