The professional exhibition of the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2025 (Big Data Expo 2025) concluded on August 30. Over its four-day run, the expo, themed "Data Drives Industrial Momentum, Intelligence Unlocks the Future," served as a crucial platform for exchange and cooperation in the global digital economy, marked by numerous highlights and significant achievements.

The Big Data Expo 2025 brought together a total of 375 exhibitors from both home and abroad, including 30 international firms. The event featured "old friends" who have participated for many consecutive years, such as Huawei, Baidu, Inspur, CEC, CETC, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Tower, 360 Company, QAX, H3C, Kingsoft Office Software, Mafengwo, GeTui, KingbaseES, the Shenzhen Information Industry Association, and the Zhuhai Software Industrial Association. It also welcomed "new friends" making their debut, including Honeywell, Yamazen, DEEP Robotics, BrainCo, the NATIONAL INNOVATION CENTER par EXCELLENCE (NICE), SEG Electronics, Geovis Technology, Yunnan Digital Culture & Tourism, and SHUZIZHONGZHI.
During the exhibition, over 1,300 new products, technologies, and solutions were unveiled. These innovations, spanning cutting-edge fields from digital infrastructure and large AI models to data security and smart terminals, thoroughly showcased the vibrant vitality and boundless potential of the digital economy. The event saw overwhelming popularity, attracting a cumulative 91,000 visitors who demonstrated keen interest and strong enthusiasm for digital technology.

At the heart of this year's Big Data Expo were six major thematic exhibition pavilions, each contributing to a breathtaking showcase of digital technology for visitors. Among these, the four thematic pavilions—Digital Intelligence Leadership, Digital Intelligence Infrastructure, Digital Intelligence Services, and Digital Intelligence Application—specifically showcased pioneering achievements across domains such as digital infrastructure, data element circulation, large AI models, smart terminals (robotics), computing power ecosystems, data security, intelligent manufacturing, digital transformation, smart cities (digital twins), and software services, ensuring an immensely engaging on-site experience. Notably, the Expo for the first time introduced dedicated exhibition zones for data infrastructure, digital culture & tourism, digital finance, and the low-altitude economy, featuring specialized exhibits from these emerging fields.

The 2025 China Drone Soccer League (Guiyang) and the F1 Sim Racing China Open 2025 in Guiyang commenced with palpable excitement at the Digital Intelligence Innovation Pavilion (W3). In the drone soccer arena, 39 teams from across the nation engaged in intense competition. Following qualifying rounds, knockout stages, and decisive battles, the final results for the three main events of the competition were determined. Concurrently, at the F1 Sim Racing China Open 2025 in Guiyang, ten top domestic virtual racing teams, having emerged from online qualifiers, vied in a qualifying session on August 29, leading to the main race on August 30. Throughout these events, contestants fiercely competed, showcasing their exquisite driving skills and masterful control over their vehicles.

The Digital Intelligence Experience Pavilion (E3) zeroed in on showcasing cutting-edge new energy vehicle technologies, with industry giants such as Tesla, BYD, and SAIC Volkswagen presenting their latest technological achievements. A dedicated autonomous driving experience zone was specially established within the hall, where on-site visitors eagerly queued to immerse themselves in the "Potato Bus" experience.
The exhibition period was filled with a rotating schedule of engaging events. Following input from both exhibitors and professional visitors, the current exhibition was extended by an additional day. To bolster exhibitors' proprietary experience, an opening ceremony, complete with joint launch rituals, was added on the first day. During the "Digital Silk Road" supply-demand matchmaking event, 25 enterprises from countries including the United States, Russia, and Malaysia showcased their intent to collaborate. They presented partnership opportunities in areas such as digital transformation empowering traditional industries and the deployment of intelligent digital application scenarios, thereby breathing new life into international digital economic cooperation. Furthermore, a series of professional events, including the 2025 State-owned Data Asset Value-added Operations Series, the National Data Exchange Institutions Seminar, and the Superfusion Media Briefing, were also held.

The Big Data Expo, established as a key launchpad, drew a multitude of companies to centrally debut their latest technologies, products, and solutions. Among these, China Southern Power Grid released the preview version of its operating system, Dianhong IoT 3.0, while Baidu officially launched its integrated air-ground intelligent inspection solution. YGsoft Inc. introduced its next-generation intelligent data assistant, "YG-IDQ," and ChinaDataPay.com released its latest AI product, "Data Core – Intelligent Application Business Middle Platform," alongside the nation's first vertical large model for the energy industry. These pioneering achievements not only underscore the innovation capabilities of the participating companies but also provide fresh insights and directions for the development of the digital economy.
To enhance the visitor experience, the Executive Committee of China International Big Data Industry Expo partnered with China Telecom to develop a digital guide mini-program for the exhibition. They also meticulously curated 11 themed viewing routes, covering areas such as Data Elements X, Artificial Intelligence, and Smart Terminals. Concurrently, to meet the personalized needs of group visitors, the Executive Committee organized and hosted 24 cohorts of visiting delegations from government agencies, enterprises, public institutions, and social organizations. These groups represented nearly 60 sectors and systems, including technology, education, emergency management, fire services, and government affairs, totaling over 1,200 individuals. Through a tailored service system comprising "dedicated liaisons + exclusive docents + customized itineraries," individual guides were assigned to each group, ensuring services precisely matched their specific requirements.

The exhibition garnered widespread acclaim for its professional depth and human-centric approach. Lars Nagel, CEO of the International Data Spaces Association, praised the event, stating, "The Big Data Expo provided us with numerous inspiring ideas that will facilitate the circulation and sharing of data, as well as the creation of data spaces." Zhu Mingke, Product Director for Smart Fire Protection at Inspur Group, echoed this sentiment: "The Big Data Expo 2025 offered participating enterprises a glimpse into cutting-edge breakthroughs in fields such as big data and artificial intelligence. This exhibition, emphasizing its 'internationalization,' 'professionalism,' and 'industrialization,' served as an excellent platform for all parties to connect with clients, seek cooperation, and showcase achievements, truly allowing us to experience the vitality of the digital economy." He Youfang, General Manager of Shenzhen Xiaocheng Times Technology Co., Ltd., from the SEG Electronics Market exhibition area, shared his experience with the media: "We were practically 'besieged,' literally layers deep with crowds, so packed you couldn't even get through. My colleagues and I were so busy we didn't even have time to eat or use the restroom! I am incredibly grateful to the Big Data Expo for such immense exposure and hope to leverage this wave of traffic to further solidify our products and services." Citizen Ms. Liu chuckled upon receiving a personalized commemorative sticker, remarking, "The process was smart and seamless; technology can actually be this fun, both novel and with a human touch!"
