In recent years, Guizhou and Guiyang have taken big data strategic action and vigorously promoted the deep integration and application of big data in all walks of life through the “Ten Thousands of Enterprises Integration” campaign. As a result, Guizhou has registered a steady growth in the level of deep integration of big data with real economy for five years in a row, greatly enhanced the economic strength and risk-resistance ability of enterprises in real economy, realized the highest growth rate of digital economy nation-wide for six years in a row, and seen its real economy taking on a new look. Thus, Guizhou has the industrial foundation for building a digital economy development and innovation zone. This is both a new opportunity and a new challenge for us, and therefore calls for new actions as we continuously enhance the influence of Big Data Expo and upgrade the big data development strategy.

To enhance the influence of Big Data Expo, we should take the lead in the booming big data industry and develop Guizhou into a hotspot for data development. As the world’s first national-level exhibition in big data, Big Data Expo is a bellwether of global big data development and the most international and authoritative platform in the industry. Since the “13^th Five-Year Plan” period, Guizhou has been taking the lead in big data industry that is on the rise, and becoming increasingly attractive for data enterprises. A large number of leading big data and Internet enterprises such as Apple, Dell, Huawei, Tencent, JD, and Inspur have settled in Guiyang, Guizhou. As for local enterprises, CASI Cloud, Longmaster, and Baishan Cloud have been included in the list of the Top 100 Chinese Internet Enterprises, unicorn enterprises such as Full Truck Alliance have been taking the lead, and a number of local enterprises such as Esgyn and Yidu Cloud are growing stronger. “China’s Big Data Valley” is gaining momentum as new business formats such as platform economy and sharing economy keep springing up, and big data and real economy are fully integrated with each other in development. With 17 data centers under construction and put into operation, Gui’an in Guiyang is not only one of the regions with the largest number of super-large data centers in the world, but also one of the bases in China with the strongest computing power. From a “layman” knowing little about big data to a place with increasingly more development elements put in place, Guizhou is rushing to the forefront of the booming big data industry and developing into a hotspot for data development with advancement of the big data strategic action.

To enhance the influence of Big Data Expo, we should continue to innovate and make full use of the “Cloud”. Bid Data Expo has been held annually for seven years since 2015.
