China International Big Data Industry Expo (Big Data Expo), the world’s first national expo themed around big data, is co-hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, the Cyberspace Administration of China and the People’s Government of Guizhou Province.

Since its launch in 2015, Big Data Expo has championed the philosophy of “Global Vision, National Interests, Industry Roles, and Corporate Responsibilities”, explored new mechanisms for international cooperation in the era of digital economy, boosted application and development of big data technologies by providing Chinese solutions for the global big data industry. With increasingly “international” elements, the Expo has evolved into a trendsetting global event where opportunities for cooperation abound, and a world-class platform for discussing development plans and sharing the latest achievements.

The Big Data Expo has been high on the agenda of leaders of China in the previous years. In 2018 and 2019, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a letter of congratulations on the opening of the Big Data Expo. Last year, Liu He, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, attended and addressed remotely the opening ceremony in Beijing. International, specialized, and market-oriented, the Expo has attracted thousands of enterprises from more than 100 countries and tens of thousands of industry leaders to participate in the event in the past 7 years, and the level of guests, the scale of the exhibitions, new products released and total contract value have achieved one new record after another.

Joining in the Big Data Expo has become a new fashionable convention in the global big data industry, and also a consensus and pursuit of all walks of life to nourish themselves and harvest innovative wisdom.

The 2022 Big Data Expo will be held in Guiyang from May 26 to 28, 2022. Themed “Seize New Opportunities, Share Digital Value”, the Expo will focus on accelerating the integration of digital and real economy and empowering the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries by conveying Chinese opinions, providing Chinese solutions and showing Chinese actions in the field of digital economy, so as to promote the global application of big data technologies and the development of the industry. The event will be attended by ministerial officials, internationally renowned experts and business leaders.
