Guiyang Big Data Cooperation and Communication Center has recently initiated the overall planning for China International Big Data Industry Expo 2022, under the direction of the municipal government and Guiyang Municipal Bureau of Big Data Development and Management.

Guided by the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the planning will follow the spirit of President Xi’s speech on next-generation IT, his congratulatory letter to the Big Data Expo, and the instructions he made during his inspection of Guizhou. Like the previous editions, Big Data Expo 2022 is focused on “global vision”, “national interests”, “industry roles” and “corporate responsibilities”, and positioned as an “International Event and World-class Platform”. Through the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Forums, Exhibitions, Releases, Competitions, investment promotion and other online/offline events, the Expo is intended to seize new opportunities in the implementation of the digital economy strategy, contribute Chinese insights, solutions and practices in the field of big data, and promote the application of big data technology and industrial development across the globe.

At present, the first draft of the overall plan has seen the light of day. Next, Guiyang Big Data Cooperation and Communication Center will optimize the plan based on the input of relevant government departments, prestigious universities, research institutes, industry alliances, trade associations and consultancies inside and outside the province. Preparations for Big Data Expo 2022 will kick off right after the central government approves the finalized plan.
